In January, PRmoment published its first-ever PR Work Rankings. For the first time, using scoring data from two years of entries to the PRmoment Awards (2024 and 2025), it celebrates campaigns from the best PR agencies in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, and beyond.

Speaking about the newly launched PR Work Rankings, PRmoment Founder Ben Smith said: “I’ve always been perplexed why most PR firm rankings are based on agency revenue, or some ill-defined ‘new business win data’. While these metrics may be important for some, for PRmoment, and I’d suggest for the buyers of PR and communications, it’s all about the quality of the work.”

In the inaugural table, our Nessa’s Grand Arcade campaign for St David’s Dewi Sant has been ranked in the Top 10 ?

According to PRmoment, the rankings rewards two points for a shortlisting, four points for a Silver award win, and six points for a Gold for either of the last two years. The awards are judged by an independent, third-party jury, so offer a valuable insight into the quality of work taking place by the best and brightest creative minds in our region.

Umpf is proud to be part of the Northern powerhouse, helping to drive the standard for excellence as one of the best PR agencies in Leeds. We’re no stranger to an award, with our work being named Best PR Event of the Year, Best Retail PR Campaign, and Best Lifestyle PR Campaign across various awards schemes in the 2025 alone.

St David's Nessa's Grand Arcade

Nessa’s Grand Arcade was a homage to the Christmas finale of Gavin & Stacey, a real-life version of ‘Nessa’s Slots’ as a PR activation for St David’s guests to enjoy. We sourced and branded claw machines filled with 2,000 themed prizes and working with impersonator Knock-Off Nessa, we created a free-to-play event which ensured a prize every time to keep visitors laughing.

As a lasting dedication, we renamed the centre’s Grand Arcade as ‘Nessa’s Grand Arcade’, with a plaque installed to commemorate the change.

The event secured 40 pieces of coverage with reach of 11.6m and more than 2,000 new social followers. Even better, Gavin & Stacey creator and Nessa actor Ruth Jones proactively reached out to St David’s to share how much she loved the event, calling it ‘a lovely tribute to the character and the show’ – that’s tidy.
