After 17 years of building one of the North’s most awarded PR, influencer and creative agencies, we’re proud to announce that Umpf is now employee-owned. And if you’re reading this, you’ve landed on our new-look website.

Gone is the Broadway-style ‘lightbulb’ logo in favour of a fresh design. The new logo – made from circles of varying sizes that unite to form the brand name – is designed to reflect our new collective ownership. There’s movement in the design to signify collective momentum. The logo, brand identity and website were designed inhouse by the Umpf design team. More about that in a future Studio blog.

Since launching in 2009, we’ve grown into one of the North of England’s most decorated consultancies (our head office is in Leeds, our second office is in London and we have a satellite office in the South West), collecting more than 80 industry accolades across regional, national and international programmes.

In just the past seven months, we’ve secured:

We’re incredibly proud of the recognition. And incredibly proud of the team here that created those campaigns.

Our past success has always been built on the talent and dedication of our brilliant team. Our future success will be no different.

Employee ownership gives everyone at Umpf a genuine and meaningful stake in where we’re heading next, fostering collaboration, long-term thinking and shared success while aligning ambition, accountability and creativity.

We’re now part of a growing community of forward-thinking UK businesses embracing employee ownership as a model for sustainable growth and high engagement, such as Aardman Animations, John Lewis Partnership, Riverford Organic Farmers and Richer Sounds.

We’ve confirmed Smart Works as our second charity partner for 2026, supporting unemployed women with the coaching, clothing and confidence they need to secure employment. We also continue to provide pro bono support for Yorkshire Beast Unleashed, the annual cycling fundraising challenge, and we’re proud to have been accredited as an Endometriosis Friendly Employer, reinforcing our commitment to creating a progressive, inclusive workplace.

As the line at the top of our home page says: we can do great things together – let’s create some noise.
