Project Snapshot
Mortgage company Visionary Finance came to us to redesign their website. The existing site had good content on it but no clear structure, which made it difficult for visitors to find what they were looking for. The aim was a modern, well-organised site where insights on both consumer and commercial mortgages were easy to navigate, and where the business came across as trustworthy, professional and authoritative in a competitive space.
Brand First
Before any web design started, there was a problem to solve. Visionary Finance didn’t really have any brand guidelines, just colours and fonts that had been put together over time. We delivered a light-touch brand refresh to fix it: modernising the logo, developing a more muted colour palette better suited to the finance space and its audience, and choosing a complementary font pairing. Nothing heavy-handed, but enough to give the site a proper foundation and position the business where it wanted to be before we designed a single page.
What We Built
The site was structured around the content Visionary Finance needed to showcase: service offerings, case studies, a blog for news and insights, helpful guides, and an about us page putting the team front and centre – an important part of building trust in the mortgage space. We also designed and built four bespoke finance calculators covering bridging finance, buy-to-let, mortgage repayment and stamp duty. These were developed closely with the Visionary Finance team, using research to make sure they gave visitors everything needed to make informed decisions about their finance, while creating a natural route into getting in touch.
How We Delivered It
The build was delivered with our development partner JNR Studio, who we work with collaboratively on website design and build projects, with everything managed by our in-house team at Umpf. We’ve continued working with Visionary Finance since launch, regularly helping with content population and supporting on SEO alongside an SEO specialist and the Visionary Finance team, keeping the site current and running properly rather than leaving it to go untouched after handover.
