Sparking New Brand Partnerships with 4lite
For lighting brand 4lite we’ve been working behind the scenes on some influencer partnerships that are designed to raise awareness of their extensive lighting range and target a more trade-focussed audience of electrical experts – starting with sparky, Kornelia.
Kornelia is a key voice on social media for women in the trade and has become popular on social media for sharing her technical expertise, experience and insights. Having already completed two collaborations with 4lite on Instagram that showcased some of the brand’s hero products, her content has reached nearly 70K people and generated over 2K engagements.
The content proved such a success that 4lite asked us to bring Kornelia on board on a long-term basis, to further tap into this highly engaged audience on social media by informing and educating them about the 4lite range from a qualified professional.
Keep your eyes peeled on 4lite’s social channels in the coming months for more Kornelia content!
Refresh and Re-use
Last month, Umpf worked with the London Recycles team to refresh the Repair Week event website and enhancing key areas to keep pace with growing event activity.
Our updates included revamping the ‘What’s On’ schedule for a smoother user experience, refining the directory and workshop listings to simplify searching, and implementing a filtering system for easy categorisation by event/repair type and London Borough.
Additionally, we put together a new area that showcases the impact of the 2023 event, detailing how many events took place, participation, and digital engagement.
Collaborating closely with the London Recycles team, we ensured seamless content population for the upcoming 2024 event.
Celebrating Black and Ethical Fashion at Southside Shopping Centre
Southside Shopping Centre hosted the Black and Ethical Fashion Show in February, which featured designs by Wandsworth-based based ethical fashion designer and artist, Fée Uhssi.
The one-of-a-kind catwalk event showcased Fée’s Art of Fashion Wrapping capsule collection alongside exclusive designs from Wandsworth-based black designers and sustainable black-owned fashion and jewellery labels. Fée also curated a Heritage Collection showcasing and celebrating traditional African textiles and garments from her private collection.
The team helped publicise the event across the regional London media to raise awareness of the event. 17 pieces of coverage were secured, reaching over 10 million, including a feature in Secret London’s ‘Best Things To Do’ article. Two additional features were also secured following the event, with imagery live from the Fashion Show.
2024 Coverage Round-up
PR is the game and getting fantastic coverage for our clients every month is our aim 📰✨
At the end of February, we shared a sneak peek of our client coverage highlights on Instagram:
There’s a wide range of titles included in the post, from BBC Breakfast and Good Housekeeping through to GQ and Kent Life, showcasing the breadth of publications we are engaging with on a daily basis.
New Additions 🍼
After two new additions to the Umpf family in January, February marked the arrival of a third!
Our Senior Account Director, Milly, celebrated the birth of a beautiful baby boy at the end of the month – he’s already made his debut in the Umpf office with his proud Mum and Dad 🥰
Pizza Party 🍕
It was a full house for February’s Last Thursday Club, with the London team travelling to Leeds for their first catch up of the year. After work, the Umpf team headed over to Pizza Pilgrims for a delicious dinner, followed by drinks at The Lost & Found.
