Catch the July highlights below…
Integrated PR Campaign : Releasing The Monster at Braintree Village
Last month, we teased the arrival of The Monster at Braintree Village, one of the world’s largest inflatable assault courses. Now, it’s officially launched and the results have been, well, monstrously good.
Our campaign began with two press releases: one to announce the event, followed by a second when tickets went on sale. We then hosted a dedicated press and influencer launch evening, giving media and content creators the chance to be among the first to brave the course. Attendees included the likes of Ferne McCann, regional media titles, and local influencers. The next morning, we released a ‘first look’ at imagery to our media database, ahead of the public opening of the activation.
So far, the campaign has generated over 100 pieces of coverage with an estimated reach exceeding 31 million. Highlights include two separate inclusions in The Sun, along with extensive regional media pick-up.
On social, content from creators Paul & Phoebe @puwtok has already become the most-viewed and highly engaged influencer collaboration we’ve ever orchestrated across the Landsec outlet shopping portfolio — and it’s only been live for just over a week.
Safe to say, The Monster has well and truly landed.
@puwtok never laughed so much😭😭 The Monster @Braintree Village is a summer MUST!!! AD
Wonderland Awaits
This month, Leeds tumbled into a world of wonder as Leeds BID brought a beloved literary classic to life with Wonderland Awaits – an immersive, city-wide celebration inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
As part of the city-wide celebrations, we teamed up with Sand in Your Eye to install a giant Cheshire Cat grin on Trinity Leeds’ iconic glass dome – a larger-than-life smile that promised to surprise and delight visitors from the moment they arrive.
Drone and timelapse footage was captured of the installation, and a press event was held at Trinity Leeds where the local media were invited for an unveiling of the artwork, and first look. The eye-catching Cheshire Cat grin not only captured the attention of visitors as they passed, but also generated strong media interest, delivering standout coverage for the campaign.
Buchanan Galleries Hits the Right Note with New Busk Stop
In Glasgow, we launched a ‘Busk Stop’ at Buchanan Galleries – an exciting new initiative designed to support young and aspiring musicians by giving them a platform to perform for free inside the centre at a dedicated spot. For the launch, we partnered with 10-year-old Glasweignan singer, Rachel Ronnie, who helps shine a spotlight on the campaign.
The launch struck a chord with the media, generating over 200 pieces of coverage across national and regional titles including Daily Mail, Independent, Evening Standard and STV, with blanket coverage in Scotland.
As well as the media coverage, an MSP lodged a motion in parliament expressing support for the campaign, congratulating everyone involved. The response from young performers has also been overwhelmingly positive, with a queue of buskers eager to take the mic and perform in the centre.
Serving Up a Volley of Wimbledon Coverage
In July we supported Landsec to promote their central London big screen experiences. Three venues offered deckchair viewing of the 138th Wimbledon Championships and we served up a raft of coverage across 15 titles including The Standard, Country & Town House and Secret London.
Big hats, lots of laughs, and photo finishes 🐎
This year’s Umpf summer social saw the team enjoy a decadent meal at The Ivy Asia in Leeds before heading to York Racecourse for an afternoon of sunshine, spritzers, and seriously questionable betting tactics.
Our annual summer get-together is always a highlight in the calendar, and this year did not disappoint – even if our bets did 🤭
Regardless, it was a day filled with fun, laughter, and a few close calls at the finish line.
As always, it was a brilliant opportunity to spend time together away from the office, reflect on a fantastic few months, and celebrate all the hard work our team has put in this year.
Now… back to business (until the Christmas party at least 🎄).
