It’s been a busy start to the year – find out what we’ve been up to so far!

Celebrating the ‘Year of the Tiger’

To celebrate the Chinese New Year ‘Year of the Tiger’, we arranged for Gunwharf Quays to host two beautiful brick life-sized tiger and tiger cub models during February half term. The brick attractions, totalling an outstanding 151,198 bricks, were placed in a bespoke and exotic orientally inspired scene.

People were encouraged to take selfies with the tigers and enter a competition to win an amazing £500 Big Cat experience. The brick tigers secured 8 press clippings in key regional titles and 3 influencer visits, with a reach of over 1 million, and were a roaring success! Database sign ups and web page visits exceeded KPIs too, proving the destination activity was a success.

Stephen Mulhern’s TV Winners

In February our client Bluewater hosted Stephen Mulhern’s new pilot TV-inspired game show, ‘TV Winners’. Bluewater was buzzing with live performances from magicians, impersonators, comedians and many more talented acts. Two of our London-based team even got the chance to meet the Stephen and grab a quick selfie!

Britain’s most dedicated worker

When we found out that Brian Chorley had worked in the same place for 70 years without a single day off sick, we knew we’d hit PR gold for client Clarks Village. Brian began working at the original Clarks Shoes factory in Somerset, aged 15, and now works in customer services on the same site for the premium shopping outlet.

Equipped with a press release and some heart-warming photos of Brian, we started to pitch his story into the media and it went like wildfire. Coverage landed on ITV News, Steph’s Packed Lunch, The Mirror, The Sun and all key Somerset regionals (print, online and broadcast) – with BBC Breakfast in the pipeline…

Dogs in the Dark

To coincide with all Covid restrictions being lifted and people returning to the office, we carried out some research to show how leaving your pet pooches at home alone can affect them – and how smart lighting from our client 4lite can help ease their signs of stress. Working with a clinical animal behaviourist, we put together with some top tips to keep pet pups calm – and the campaign achieved 110+ pieces of coverage with a reach of 25m, ranging from the Daily Express to Dogs Monthly!

We also teamed up with some adorable four-legged influencers to help spread the word, leading to some pup-tastic social content.

Grub’s Up at Trinity Kitchen Supper Club

Unique street food concept Trinity Kitchen at Trinity Leeds has undergone a revamp and welcomed some snazzy new vehicles – serving up top-notch food from a converted VW camper van, and even a horse trailer and shipping container!

To celebrate the new look, we held a launch event and invited influencers down to try out the food alongside a DJ, with fizz flowing on the Friday night.

If you haven’t been to try the new line-up yet, they’ll be serving up everything from bao buns and burgers to grilled cheese toasties for a few more weeks!
