Superhero Recipes for your Little Heroes
A superhero-inspired recipe book we produced for kitchen appliance brand Belling, captured imaginations and delivered measurable results.
The book was inspired by some clever research which analysed the eating habits of superheroes in Hollywood films – which found that superheroes are often portrayed eating junk food and not ideal role models to young children – and created recipes based on foods seen on screen, but with a healthy twist – perfect for families.
We conceived and created the campaign, designing the book and creating the illustrations, while working with a professor in film studies, Tom Craig, to give added kudos to the research, along with other specialists including recipe creation and photography to bring each dish to life in an engaging visually rich format.
The result? More than 20,000 books were requested – more than 300% above target, prompting a second print run of 15,000 books, alongside widespread media coverage and industry recognition.
The campaign won various awards including, the CIPR Gold award for ‘Best Integrated PR Campaign’ and the CIPR Gold award for ‘Best use of Content’. It was also shortlisted in the national Creative Moment Awards for Branded Campaign of the Year. See more on our PR awards.
Calming Tears with ‘Teddy Goes For A Swim’
In a bid to promote Belling’s Sensicare laundry products, whilst also helping parents deal with teddy-related traumas from their children, we created Teddy Goes for a Swim, a children’s picture-book aimed at teaching kids that teddy going for a wash isn’t such a bad thing.
We created a character, Billy the bear (who has now been adopted as a Belling brand icon and mascot) and created a story about his imaginary adventures, culminating in him swimming in ‘wild, sock-infested seas’ after his journey leaves him a little muddy. The story is told in rhyme over 28 pages.
We wrote the words, and commissioned award-winning illustrator Steve Smallman to create full-page illustrations for each page of the book. Here we were able to bring in subtle branding elements such as an illustrated Belling Sensicare washing machine.
We printed 2,000 copies, created a digital download available via iBooks and also created an animated version available on the Belling website. The book was distributed via retailers, schools, and through social media competitions.

Styling Tips with Frank Newbold
To help new homeowners turn their properties into personalised spaces, we partnered with BBC Interior Design Masters finalist, Frank Newbold on a content series for Keepmoat Homes.
In the first instalment, Frank shared practical styling advice on creating the ultimate bedroom retreat—starting with the perfect bed. The video offered both inspiration and utility, positioning Keepmoat as a helpful, design-conscious homebuilder.
This content was featured on Keepmoat’s website as part of a series of blog posts and distributed across social media platforms, extending its reach and engagement among new and prospective homeowners.

To drive awareness and increase entries for the prestigious International Brewing & Cider Awards, we developed and executed a targeted email marketing campaign that delivered outstanding results for both beer and cider categories.
