Facebook Boss Under The Spotlight
It’s been a rough old week for Facebook after Mark Zuckerberg was hauled in front of the US Senate to answer questions such as ‘Does Facebook collect data on users?’ and ‘Should Facebook’s privacy settings default to not sharing personal data?’
Zuckerberg hinted that Facebook could be considering a paid-for version, and also fought back against conspiracy theories that the social media platform taps your microphone. Interestingly, Twitter shares reportedly surged during Zuckerberg’s testimony.
It comes just days after Facebook issued messages to users whose personal information was wrongly obtained by Cambridge Analytica – and even Zuckerberg had to admit that he was one of them.
The testimony made for compulsive viewing, and it was only a matter of time before the memes followed…

Celebs Show Support for Equal Pay Day
This week, social media was flooded with support for Equal Pay Day. This year it fell on April 10th, and marks how far into the next year that the average American woman would need to work in order to make as much as the average American man did in the preceding year.
Whilst some are critical of the data, it raises an interesting point worthy of discussion in the mainstream.
Here’s what some celebs had to say:
Today is Equal Pay Day – this marks how far into the year (97.95 days‼️) a woman typically has to work -> into 2018 to = make what men were paid in 2017, across race, ethnicity, and industry. #EqualPay gap won’t be closed for women until 2059 unless we make a change? pic.twitter.com/n5A1d6IEnc

#EqualPayDay should not even exist, but as long as there is a disparity in what women earn we’ll be here to remind you. We don’t want to play catch-up. It’s very simple: equal pay for equal work. pic.twitter.com/dVbAeoNXn5

Will Khloe Break The Internet?
Rumours have been circulating for the past couple of days that Khloe Kardashian has given birth to a baby girl (cue the inevitable Twitter meltdown from fans and ensuing media speculation).
But it was only today that Kim confirmed the new arrival on Twitter:
? @khloekardashian I’m so happy for you! Your baby girl is so beautiful! You are so strong, you made that look so easy! I can’t wait for our baby girls to grow up as best friends the way we are! I’m so happy I was able to return the favor of holding your leg while you pushed LOL

It’s been a busy week in the Umpf office but we managed to squeeze in some time with an adorable little lamb – all in the name of research, of course!
The photos are too cute not to share…
