With a general election and two public holidays, May was a crazy month – but read on to find out more about what went down at Umpf towers…

Celebrating a Centenary

This month we achieved some fab coverage for our client the National Federation of Women’s Institutes ahead of its Centenary Annual Meeting (more on this next month).  As well as features appearing in Metro, Daily Express, Saga and Good Housekeeping online – the icing on the cake was a 4 page piece in the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine (also online here).

Walking with the wounded

We are delighted to be working with our client, YESSS Electrical, who is the title sponsor of the Walk Of Britain.  Organised by Walking With The Wounded, the 1000-mile round-Britain charity walk will take place later this year.  Prince Harry is the patron of the Walk.  We were in London last week to meet with organisers, sponsors and some of the incredible wounded servicemen and women who will be taking part in the event.  Look out for more updates in the months to come.

New Biz

The new biz phone has been ringing off the hook, so we’ve been brainstorming, strategising and devising some brilliant potential new campaigns for potential new clients. Watch this space for details of new wins.

New clients

We started work on a fabulous new social media strategy for a new client. Its early days and so we don’t want to give too much away, but from our first month’s activities we’re on track to smash some ambitious growth and engagement targets.

New Starter

We’ve also been interviewing for a new role here at Umpf towers and will have a brand new Junior Account Executive joining us in June. More on our new recruit next month.

A fond farewell!

This month we bid a fond farewell to our intern, Lucinda who’s been working with us since November 2014, whilst studying at Leeds University. As well as doing a sterling job at supporting the team in the office, Lucinda has also wowed us with her amazing baking skills. All the team wish Lucinda the best of luck after graduation!
